Yongergnow Mallee Arts Day

On 7 August 2008 a selection of schools from areas surrounding Yongergnow have been invited to participate in the Yongergnow Mallee Arts Day. With a strong focus on Noongar culture, the day involves bushwalking through the mallee bushland, listening to the didgeridoo and decorating & learning to throw a boomerang.

The school children will also learn the environmental song written by Ross Strahan "Who Cares?" and take part in a banner painting project lead by local artist Rosemary Powell.
